A Little Water Issue, Bumpy Roads, and Moochdocking

 Mileage: 923

Indianapolis, or more specifically, Carmel, Indiana

The morning started with a bit of stress when Kenny tried to fill our fresh water tank as we won't have full hook-ups for the next several days.  We could hear the water start, but it wasn't making it into the RV.  We tried both filling the tanks and putting water directly through to the sinks.  Only a small trickle was coming through.  The campground we stayed in last night recently had a fire which affected many of the services there so we surmised it might be a lack of water pressure on their end.  We packed up and continued to Kenny's colleague, Marc's, house.  We tried hooking up water there and still no go.  We cleaned a filter and inspected a valve which the hose hooks to and all seemed in order, but still no water.  So, what else to do?  Start googling.  On one of many posts it mentioned that a clogged water filter could be the culprit. I remembered this being on the "to do" list before we left, but it never got done.  Changed the filter and voila!  Water!  Note to self: change the water filter before it looks like this:

We crossed the border into Indiana (state #6)  and encountered the worst roads and construction we have seen thus far.  Bumpy, narrow interstate lanes through miles of construction, I was seriously glad to get off Interstate 70!  Tomorrow we travel on Interstate 74.  I hope it is significantly better!

We always appreciate the opportunity to visit with family and friends on our travels.  Today brought us to Marc and Jodi Johnson's house in Carmel, Indiana.  We enjoyed meeting their dogs, seeing their gorgeous home, and having a great dinner out.  Look out Johnsons!  Indiana is on the way to many places for us!  We appreciate your generous hospitality!
