Harrison Bay State Park
We can’t say enough positive things about the service at Safe T Plus. While the rig was being worked on we had a comfortable place to sit and relax and Comet was welcome. Once the bar was installed a tech went on a test drive with Kenny and had him stop twice to make adjustments. We then headed out to Chattanooga.
Thankfully we stayed well west of Atlanta and the crazy traffic there. The drive was an easy one. We got to our campground early and were allowed to check-in. We had a reserved site but it wasn’t level so the very nice and patient lady working in the campground office helped us to relocate to an even better site with an amazing view of the bay and the Fall color beyond.
Our destination for the evening was Ruby Falls which is a classic 1940’s tourist attraction. The entrance is on Lookout Mountain. The views are very pretty.
The highlight of which is a 90 waterfall inside of a cave. After descending 260 feet by elevator we were guided through the cave by our tour guide. After watching a brief movie we walked by many lighted formations to reach the room where the waterfall flows. While very touristy it was a fun visit.
Once we emerged from the depths of Lookout Mountain we had a beautiful view of the sparkling lights below us.
