A Sweet Surprise and a Couple of Drive Days

3.2 and 3.3.24

We met Chris and Noel when I taught with them in 1988.  They are full time RVers.   Our paths crossed with Noel this week as she was driving east and we were driving west along I10.  Chris was in Pennsylvania visiting family.  So fun to see Noel for lunch!!

We stopped at the Tallahassee Auto Museum for the night.  We stayed here a few years ago so we didn't go in to the museum.

Our second travel night we stopped at another Harvest Host, Amour Coastal, a great little new winery.  The hosts were wonderful, and we got some yummy treats.  Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures.  And I highly suggest looking them up if you are ever in the Florida panhandle.

Florida State Parks are hard to get in the winter.  Some are damn near impossible.  Topsail Preserve State Park is one of those.  While I was doing other planning a cancellation for this state park popped up.  It was clearly a cancellation.  I grabbed it and we worked it in to our schedule.  The park definitely lives up to the hype.

Even socked in fog the place it beautiful.  There is a tram that runs from the day use parking lot along a mile long trail to the beach which limits the number of people on the 3.2 miles of pristine beach.  We rode our bikes, you can also walk the trail.

Here are some waves in fog.
