LaCrosse, Wisconsin
Mileage: 1385
Today was a short trip. When our plans changed a few days ago we had some time to kill before getting to our next reservation. So, we ended up in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. We ate lunch at a pullout on the Black River which is adjacent to the Mississippi. The day was windy with a steady 22 mph wind.
Pearl Street Brewery was our Harvest Host for the night. The beer and cider were tasty, but more interesting were the other Harvest Host members who were also here for the night. We met a couple from Ontario who are on the road in a van for 10 months. They have been in the states for a few months now and are following our basic path to Yellowstone before going north back into Canada to visit Banff and Jasper before heading home. We also met a full time family who have been on the road for 3 years. They are into off- roading and racing dirt bikes. It is always fun to hear other people's stories and to learn from others' experiences.
While we both sit at the dinette Comet likes to lay on our feet.
