With impending weather we got up early and left a very noisy Cracker Barrel and drove to Columbia to beat the storm. Driving a big box in windy conditions is uncomfortable and unsafe. Along the way we finally found a Love's with propane and got gas. We pulled in to the Walmart as the rain let loose and the winds started. We were quite lucky as Finn passed through Columbia more gently than expected.
I didn't venture out as it seemed safer to stay home, so Columbia itself still needs to be visited. I did create a spreadsheet of dates we will be where in Florida so it is a bit easier for folks to follow or catch up with us!
After the storm the sky was eerily beautiful.
Comet was surprisingly calm during the storm. If only he was as calm at 4:00 when the trash dumpster nearby was being emptied!
Our next stop is Congaree National Park.
