Cracker Barrel, Lumberton, NC
Mileage:
First, a quick catch-up. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the kids on the cruise. The cruise itself was beautiful with great weather. There were two stops: The Bahamas and Royal Caribbean's private island Coco Cay. Erin and her BFF Erika enjoyed time swimming with pigs. We all enjoyed fancy dinners, the beach, trivia, and a couple of shows.
The Core Four! So blessed when our kids spend time with us!
Once home we enjoyed hosting The Gwynn Family Christmas Party during which I took no pictures.
While we missed having Aunt Mary with us this year we had a chill Christmas Day which we were happy to share with EG #2's Dad, George and EG #1's boyfriend Eric.
My cousin Lisa and her husband Duane visited a few days, we played some more trivia with the kids, and did a lot of planning for future trips. I created some resin pieces from a wedding Erin and David attended and generally enjoyed being home for a bit.
Which brings us to our current journey to Florida. After a great breakfast at Lenny's with Erin and Eric we started south. As we started off we realize that we are getting either much more chill or lax about leaving home. After getting a few miles from home we realized we both needed gas, we need propane, and the change engine oil light popped on in the truck.
Our first night we stopped in Weldon, NC at a Harvest Host, Weldon Distillery. We enjoyed a great tour with Tim and a tasting. It is close to 95 so if you ever need a break near the VA/NC line I highly recommend the stop. The Distillery sits next to the Roanoke River on either end of a park.
And with this entry you are all caught-up! We look forward to sharing our journey with you!
