So Many Shades of Blue in Bahia Honda State Park

I'm pretty sure that a day like today was the inspiration for the shades of blue in the Crayola Crayon box.  According to Vox there are 19: blue, blue-green, blue-violet, cornflower, midnight blue, cadet blue, aquamarine, navy blue, sky blue, ultra blue, blizzard blue, cerulean, teal blue, Pacific blue, robin's egg blue, denim, blue bell, outer space, and wild yonder blue.  As a kid from the mid-Atlantic I never understood why water was drawn as blue.  The ocean, rivers, and lakes around me growing up were much more brown than blue.  Clearly I needed to come to the Florida Keys to truly understand the reason for the portrayal

We ate lunch at a waterside restaurant called the Sunset Grille, pretty sure not the one in the song.  The food was good.  The view was amazing.

We then drove to Bahia Honda State Park where we found several beautiful beaches.  We sat on Calusa Beach for a couple of hours.  We both attempted the water.  The pictures below show how far we made it.

For those who want a little beach music, natural style.
