Robbie's and Anne's Beach

 2.2.2024

Yesterday on our drive down from Biscayne we passed a place several folks recommended to us.  So, today we decided to make the trek back north to visit Robbie's.  It is a complex that includes several shopping stands, a marina, a restaurant/bar, and a dock where you can feed Tarpons. After wedging the truck into a parking spot we headed inside to see what the whole place was about.  We started with lunch which was very yummy.  We shared the hummus plate.  I had fish and chips, Kenny had bao bun tacos.

After lunch we paid $10 to go onto the dock with a bucket of fish.  After thwarting the efforts of some very aggressive pelicans to get our fish I found a spot.  It was a bit intimidating to see the large size of the Tarpon, but I steeled my nerves and lowered a fish through a hole in the netting.  A Tarpon jumped out of the water and grabbed it our of my hand.

(Sorry for the misspelling of Tarpons in the video.  I can't figure out how to fix it!)
This was a cool experience.

After the Tarpon experience we drove a short distance to Anne's Beach.  It has a cute boardwalk with many cover picnic tables off of the main walkway.  We enjoyed the walk with several stops along the way to walk down to the water's edge.

Wonder what that home costs?

This Ibis was strolling around.

Cool roots

I thought it was time to update my binoculars.  My new ones came from Amazon today!  They are quite an upgrade from my old ones!
